Messages Reveal Jeffrey Epstein and Steve Bannon Ties

Steve Bannon
Bannon served as the former president's key strategists prior to resigning from the administration in August 2017

In November 2018, Steve Bannon, previously a top aide to Donald Trump, visited the UK preparing for a address at the prestigious Oxford Union.

The speech was interrupted by hundreds of protesters, and Bannon, scheduled to travel that night, told Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Protesters delayed my talk don't think I can catch the flight we r enroute to the airport".

Epstein replied: "That. Is a gulf air departing at 950 with a stop in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "U r an excellent helper".

These exchanges were published on this week together with over 20,000 pages from the records of Epstein, the deceased convicted sex offender.

The release by the House oversight committee contains an text conversation where Bannon's name is redacted. Media outlets managed to establish his involvement by matching the dates, events, and places mentioned.

For instance, Epstein talks about arranging a jet from the UK for the unnamed individual in the messages, and offers praise their "address at Oxford". Bannon participated in the News Xchange conference on 14 November, and delivered the talk at the Oxford on November 16.

Bannon, who is not accused of any misconduct, did not reply on the request for comment.

Epstein's Assurance to Bannon

Bannon was one of Trump's key aides in the run up to the 2016 election and in the early days of his first administration, but stepped down from the administration in August 2017.

He has acknowledged he was producing a documentary about Epstein before his passing and allegedly has approximately 15 hours of footage. In a recording of his show earlier this year, he stated: "We plan to release the series, the five-part series, next year - at the start of next year."

But the recently disclosed materials suggest Bannon's relationship with Epstein extended than being his biographer, with the convicted paedophile at times appearing to serve like a personal assistant.

A few days before the exchange in which Epstein seemed to arranged a private plane for Bannon, Epstein said: "what's it like to have the highest-paid booking agent in history ".

Bannon thanked him: "You are pretty good asst", to which Epstein replied "Massages. Not Included".

Discussing a visit to "AD" in a separate text, Epstein told Bannon: "I will ensure you're well looked after."

UK Politics Mentioned in Messages

The released messages also reveal Bannon and Epstein discussing British political matters in that year.

On the same day his address at the Oxford Union, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I became involved in the EU exit issue this morning with Nigel, Boris and Mogg."

Then, in what seems like a allusion to the UK prime minister, the embattled British leader at the period, he added: "They are trying to move on. May today / tomorrow…"

Epstein suggested Bannon: "In my view remaining as long as you can uk. Best-- so others get the dedication of your follow-up."

Soon after, Epstein inquired: "Will Theresa May survive". Bannon answered: "It seems unlikely BUT the people over here have no balls" and added "Johnson ; Michael Gove; Rees Mogg; Davis - somebody has to step up".

Theresa May was eventually toppled in May 2019 after surviving two votes of no confidence in late 2018.

A spokesman for the political party told the BBC: "Farage has not been in a meeting with Bannon, Rees-Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is no evidence that encounter occurred.

The Congress will decide next week on whether the Department of Justice should make public all its files concerning its investigation into Epstein, who died in jail in that year.

Interest in Epstein's relationships with influential individuals was reignited this week after the publication of over 20,000 pages from his estate.

A portion of those referenced the former president, who has consistently rejected any wrongdoing. The president was a friend of Epstein's for years, but claims they parted ways in the early 2000s, two years before Epstein was initially charged.
